    Position InterfaceThis position reports directly to a Rod Shop Production Lead or Supervisor and will interact daily with other Rod Shop associates including the Management Team.Responsibilities:

    Be an ambassador of the Brand and embody the Orvis culture and its core valuesPerform tasks in the overall process to complete the manufacturing of an Orvis Fly Rod, including but not limited to:

    Operating state-of-the-art rod manufacturing equipmentCutting, cleaning, and painting rod sectionsAssembling and installing reel seats and cork handlesAffixing guides to rod blanksInspecting work and ensuring quality controlWork to specification and meet daily production goals

    Complete additional assignments from Rod Shop management

    Required Qualifications:

    High school diplomaExcellent attendanceProactive, adaptable, collaborative and solution-oriented personalityAbility to take direction and execute with exactnessPhysical ability to lift and move up to 30lbsPhysical ability to bend and move with agilityPhysical ability to stand for extended periods of timeExcellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

    Desired Qualifications:

    Experience in light manufacturing and/or the use of hand toolsExperience in craftsmanshipAppreciation for the outdoors
