Senior Field Service Technician

Fairbanks Morse Defense is seeking a hands-on Senior Field Service Technician to install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul mission-critical equipment supporting U.S. military and government customers.
Equipment You Could Work On
This is not a traditional shop position. You will travel up to 75% domestically and internationally, working at military, marine, industrial, and customer locations alongside Fairbanks Morse Defense technicians, technicians from other companies, shipboard personnel, and military customers.
Assignments may place you in extreme heat or cold, at heights, in tight or confined spaces, and around active industrial and marine equipment. You must be adaptable, safety-focused, comfortable using a laptop or tablet, and ready to lead when the situation demands it.
We welcome qualified candidates from trade schools, the marine industry, military backgrounds, and related diesel, heavy-equipment, electrical, and field-service industries.

Job Summary
The Senior Field Service Technician (SrFST) is responsible for the installation, commissioning, and scheduled and emergency service of a variety of Fairbanks Morse Defense products, including diesel engines, electrical controls, cranes, elevators, weapons elevators, roll-up doors, and davits.
The SrFST leads field activities, ensures customer satisfaction, and maintains effective communication with customers and internal teams. This technician provides technical leadership, supports and mentors less-experienced associates, and professionally represents Fairbanks Morse Defense at customer locations.
This is a highly visible, mission-critical role. Strong verbal and written communication, sound judgment, technical expertise, and professional conduct are imperative.
