Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily activities of the food production department, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Lead and manage a team of helpers, junior supervisors, and supervisors, fostering a productive and cohesive work environment.
- Ensure all meals are prepared and packed according to stringent deadlines and in compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Partner with Food Production Manager to identify and execute planning for training and staffing needs
- Facilitate the training of new team members, monitor their performance, and provide ongoing support to help them achieve their goals.
- Identify and address problematic areas, proposing alternative solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Maintain adherence to all company guidelines, including HACCP, FDA regulations, and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.
- Coordinate the receipt, storage, and organization of supplies, closely monitoring inventory levels to ensure adequate stock.
- Collaborate with other departments and communicate effectively with management and team members to ensure the seamless completion of all tasks.
- Promptly report any departmental issues, such as production, inventory, or team-related matters, and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Ensure quality assurance and economic efficiency to meet high-end food standards, including attending food tasting sessions and implementing feedback.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management, upholding DO & CO standards.
Qualifications:
- Possesses at least a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification, a Bachelors degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 year of supervisory experience in a high-volume food service or food manufacturing production.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
- Proficient culinary knowledge of terms, procedures, and practices.
- Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and general food safety standards knowledge is required.
- Demonstrates outstanding organizational skills and a knack for prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Capable of seamlessly managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, dealing with a substantial workload, and sustaining periods of extended standing as required.
- Adopts a hands-on approach and exhibits the ability to respond promptly with a sense of urgency.
- Excellent in computer operations, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other relevant applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to interact and work well within a diverse group with experience/exposure to leadership roles.
- Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
- Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.
What We Offer:
- Salary range: $66,300 - $75,000 annually.
