Under the supervision of the Food Service Director/Supervisor, the foodservice aide works in conjunction with the cooks in preparing resident meal trays and special dietary requirements, along with serving food to residents, visitors, or staff.
Prepares menu items and delivers trays to residents in floor dining room areas and to those who do not come to the dining room, ensuring their proper diets are administered appropriately.
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness, setting up and clearing dining room tables and serving carts.
Observes residents and reports complaints, problems, or anything out of the ordinary to supervisor.
Assists in receiving and storing incoming food and supplies. Reports food and equipment needs to Chef/Manager.
Communicates and cooperates with staff, residents, and their families.
Complies with long-term care regulations and written dietary procedures and policies.
Qualifications:
1 year experience in food services or customer service
