Job Description

Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking a Food Service Director to join our team at Methodist Celina Medical Center in Celina, Texas.

The Food Service Director is a management position responsible for developing and executing dining solutions to meet customer needs and tastes. Oversees and manages dining operations where customers order prepared foods from a menu.

Job Responsibilities

Leadership

• Lead, mentor, engage, and develop team members to maximize performance and contributions.
• Recruit, assess, train, coach, and manage employee performance.
• Ensure food services align with the Executional Framework.
• Coach employees by establishing clear expectations and execution plans.
• Recognize and reward employee achievements.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards across all operations.

Client Relationship

• Identify client needs and communicate operational progress effectively.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.

Financial Performance

• Implement and follow Aramark processes and systems.
• Build revenue and manage budgets, including food, beverage, and labor cost controls.
• Complete and maintain P&L statements.
• Achieve food and labor cost targets.
• Allocate resources effectively to maintain quality while controlling costs within budget.

Productivity

• Implement and maintain labor and food service initiatives.
• Create value through operational efficiency, cost controls, and profit management.
• Ensure compliance with Operational Excellence standards related to food and labor.
• Direct and oversee food production, distribution, and service operations.

Compliance

• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, regulations, and labor laws.
• Uphold safety, health, wage, and hour standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain systems for ordering, receiving, storing, preparing, and serving food products.
• Oversee menu planning and development.
• Develop operational forecasts and explain financial variances.
• Manage accounting responsibilities for operational components.
• Ensure all sanitation and safety requirements are met.
• Coordinate and supervise production, merchandising, quality assurance, cost control, labor management, and employee training activities.
• Recruit, hire, develop, and retain frontline team members.
• Conduct periodic inventory counts.
• Maintain records to comply with Aramark, government, and accrediting agency standards.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with client management and customers at all levels.
• Participate in sales activities and contract negotiations as needed.
• Identify and implement new products and services that support revenue growth and client retention.

Additional Responsibilities

• Manage front-of-house dining operations, including cafeterias and residential dining facilities.
• Develop and implement food service plans aligned with client goals and organizational vision.
• Incorporate sustainable practices into food service operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience.
• 1-3 years of management or leadership experience.
• Previous food service experience required.
• Previous healthcare expereince preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain effective client and customer relationships.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments to provide a seamless food service experience.
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
