Morningstar Living is currently hiring a Full-Time Food Service Worker for our Moravian Hall Square campus in Nazareth, PA.

Wage Information: The wage range for this position is $15.00 - $16.00/hr., depending on prior work history and experience.

Full-Time Day Shift - Enjoy a consistent daytime schedule of 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with an every-other-weekend requirement.

What will I do as a Food Service Worker?

As part of our Dining Services team, you’ll help make mealtimes something our residents can look forward to while ensuring meals are prepared and served safely and according to their individual needs.

• Help start residents’ day on a positive note by assisting with breakfast tray-line service in our nursing home.
• Prepare fresh salads, desserts, fruit, nourishments, and other menu items using daily production logs and standardized recipes.
• Serve residents with care and attention, working alongside nursing staff to follow individual preferences and diet orders.
• Learn our menus and daily specials while becoming familiar with modified-consistency dietary needs.
• Help keep our kitchen running smoothly by cleaning and maintaining equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Create a warm and welcoming dining experience through friendly, attentive service and positive interactions with residents.

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You:

• Have at least 1 year of culinary experience
• Enjoy working with older adults and providing friendly service
• Are dependable, positive, and team-oriented
• Communicate well with residents and coworkers
• Can follow standardized recipes and dietary guidelines
• Have basic math and computer skills
• Are comfortable working in a busy food service environment
