    Food Services Associate I - Riley - Full Time Evenings

    Job Description

    Overview

    Location: Riley Children's Hospital

    Hours: Full Time - 40 hrs/wk 1pm-9:30pm with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

    Job Summary:

    This position will be responsible for the cleaning of all dishes, pots, pans and other equipment used for food preparation. Additionally responsible for the removal of trash from the kitchen and cafeteria and general cleaning and sanitation of the kitchen space.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.

    • Remove trash and maintain cleanliness throughout the department.

    • Cleaned and sanitized floors, floor drains, and work areas to maintain a safe, sanitary, and compliant environment.

    • Collect used meal trays and dishes from patient areas.

    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of food service carts.

    • Clean and sanitize food preparation and service equipment.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is preferred.
    • No experience is required. Prior food service experience is preferred.
    • Requires the ability to operate kitchen equipment.
    • Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc.
    • Requires adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food for consumption.
    • Requires the ability to climb ladders.
    • Physical requirements to include: reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs. or more, up to 80% of the time.
