Purpose of Your Work:
As a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Supervisor within Redwood Multimodal, you will own the daily execution and operational management of our FTZ activities, stationed on-site within a 1.2 million sq. ft. customer warehouse facility in Fort Worth, TX.
In this role, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy—working alongside customer warehouse personnel while maintaining independent authority over FTZ compliance and inventory integrity.
Reporting directly to our Laredo FTZ Manager and Customs Broker, you will serve as the primary subject matter expert and the main point of contact for yearly U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) audits.
You will be fully supported by our experienced FTZ leadership teams in both Laredo and Miami for ongoing training and best practices.
How You Make a Difference Everyday:
- Manage Daily FTZ Operations: Direct all daily Foreign Trade Zone processes—including goods receiving, material handling, record-keeping, and inventory tracking—in strict accordance with the CBP-authorized FTZ manual.
- Systems & Inventory Control: Bridge customer operations and regulatory compliance by utilizing both the customer's FTZ software and Redwood’s customs systems to reconcile inventory, reconcile shortages or overages, and maintain exact record alignment.
- Lead CBP Compliance & Audits: Maintain audit-readiness at all times, serve as the lead contact for annual CBP audits, and prepare and file the official annual FTZ report.
- Cross-Functional Customer Collaboration: Partner closely with customer warehouse managers, supervisors, and on-site staff to provide best practices for storing and handling goods inside the designated FTZ area.
- Drive Process & Cost Efficiency: Continuously refine FTZ workflows, minimize bottlenecks, and ensure customs duty optimization while operating independently inside a high-volume facility.
- Maintain Network Alignment: Collaborate with Redwood’s Laredo and Miami FTZ hubs to share best practices, stay aligned on compliance standards, and participate in ongoing operational training.
