Position Title: Foreman Department: Mineral Resources Number of direct reports: 10 Location: Tuvatu, Fiji Roster: TBD Reports to Position: Mine Manager This Position Description describes your role and accountabilities. It also includes key relationships, inside and outside Lion One, and the skills, knowledge, experience, and behaviours that are vital to your succes s in the role. At times you may be expected to perform reasonable additional duties that are related to your role but are not specified in your position description as directed by your supervisor. Purpose To provide excellent mining and leadership skills to Lion One Metals and its employees. Key Accountabilities or Activities • Ensure that the drilling plan is understood and followed. • Supervise and lead the day to day activities and development of mining • Train/Mentor others in hard rock underground and mining best practices. • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to ensure employees are informed of safety and operational issues. • Comm unicate with surveyors, geologists and engineers and miners regarding drilling and ore recovery • Assist with operating equipment when needed • Work with the maintenance team to ensure the machine s are serviced and maintained in proper working order. • Other duties assigned by the M ine Manager Code of Conduct • Adherence at all times to the Lion One Code of Conduct. Please check release currency prior to use. • Have an understanding and strong commitment for workplace health and safety • Previous experience as a foreman in an underground hard rock mine • Ability to read and understand mining instruction sheets to complete shift reports • Computer skills - MS Word and MS Excel • Have a good understanding of heavy -duty machinery • A positive, can - do driven attitude • A strong team leader • Physically fit Knowledge: • Good practical understanding of Drilling and Mining methods • Sound understanding of how the equipment works on a daily basis • The ability to lead a team in a high stress, fast paced environment Experience: • Minimum of 5 years industry experience as a Foreman Education, Qualifications, Tickets, Licences: • Current manual driver's licence • Education in mining practices and mine operations Significant Working Relationships Internal: • Mine Operations External: • Fiji Gover nment • Community and trad itional land holders • Consultants
