Your primary role is to ensure planning, laying out, installing, and wiring electrical components are completed, as per project drawings, specifications and in accordance with applicable electrical codes. This position will oversee the work and job performance on sites and will ensure ongoing attention to work-site safety, standards, and legislation are met. A key component of this position will be problem-solving and providing exceptional service to all of our customers.Manage a crew of Journeymen, Electrical Trainees and ApprenticesControlling inventory on truck, job-site, and in/out of stock (for active jobs)Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and also through reporting violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to immediate supervisor;Communicate with Cove Electric customers & employees in a professional and respectful manner.Establish a good repour with new & existing customers.Manage manpower needs & report to your supervisorEmployee Type:Daily Expectations:Physical Requirement:Be in the field a minimum 8 hours per day.Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of electrical equipment installationsEnsure all work is installed in accordance to job specifications & to safety guidelines.Supervise and train apprentices on the job, as requiredBe the point of contact with the general contractor's site superintendentDelegate tasks and responsibilities to crew membersArrange and coordinate safety meetingsGathering required materialResponsible for maintaining company toolsInspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are cleanIdentify project changes and produce changes and submit to GC with in contract requirements.Submitting request or records not limited to: material/tool requisitions, safety write up, incident reports, daily job reports/journals, coordination request, method of procedure, outage requestOther duties as assigned
