Forklift Operator - Second Shift

Plainfield, Indiana

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3 PM to 11 PM

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various forklift equipment to load, unload, move, and organize products within a fast-paced warehouse environment. Your focus will be on maintaining safety standards, accurately handling inventory, and supporting overall warehouse efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and powered industrial equipment, including sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks, and electric pallet jacks, to load, unload, move, and organize products.
• Transact inventory accurately by staging and relocating materials to designated areas.
• Conduct daily safety inspections of forklifts and report any safety or maintenance concerns.
• Maintain organized and hazard-free workspaces to promote safety and operational efficiency.
• Assist with general warehouse activities, including inventory tracking and replenishment.
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA standards diligently.
• Support team communication and collaboration, including assisting with translation if bilingual skills are available.
• Ensure accurate product handling to prevent damage and promote customer satisfaction.
• Support initiatives to improve warehouse safety, organization, and workflow efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Prior forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to operate sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks, or other warehouse forklifts safely.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Strong focus on safety, organization, and attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) for communication and translation support.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Dynamic warehouse setting involving lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Operating forklifts and warehouse equipment in compliance with safety procedures and OSHA standards.
