Position Overview
Our client is a well-established, warehouse that specializes in distributing aluminum cans to beverage manufacturers. They are looking for a dependable Forklift Operator to join their team for a long-term opportunity.
This position will primarily involve operating a forklift to pull and stage orders, move products throughout the warehouse, and load and unload trucks. The role will also assist with various general warehouse duties as needed.
Responsibilities
Operate a forklift to move and stage products throughout the warehouse
Pull and prepare customer orders for shipment
Load and unload trucks
Move pallets of empty cans, bottles, and aluminum materials
Safely transport and organize product in the warehouse
Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
Enter information and utilize various computer systems
Follow all safety procedures and warehouse guidelines
Maintain an organized and efficient work area
Requirements
Previous forklift experience is required
Must have a valid driver's license
Reliable and dependable attendance is extremely important
Comfortable working overnight hours
Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
Detail-oriented and able to accurately complete warehouse tasks
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Looking for a long-term career opportunity
Must be able to lift approximately 25–50 lbs. as needed
Must wear required steel-toe or composite-toe footwear
