Position OverviewPeople Source OKC is hiring an experienced
Forklift Operator / Inventory Associate for a steel manufacturing company in South Oklahoma City.We are looking for a dependable candidate with
forklift experience and a background in inventory management, order pulling, or warehouse operations. This position involves operating forklifts, pulling inventory to fulfill orders, assisting with machine operations, and maintaining an organized and safe manufacturing environment.The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn. Previous sheet metal or manufacturing equipment experience is a plus, but the company is willing to train candidates who demonstrate the right skills and attitude.
Job Responsibilities- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, and organize steel materials and inventory
- Pull inventory parts accurately to fulfill customer orders
- Locate, count, and verify inventory materials
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and staging materials
- Operate manufacturing equipment as trained
- Assist with roll-forming and press brake/folder equipment when needed
- Read and use a tape measure to verify material dimensions
- Assist with general warehouse and inventory responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory organization and material placement
- Follow instructions from supervisors and complete assigned tasks efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards
- Assist with additional warehouse and manufacturing duties as needed
Requirements- Previous forklift operating experience required
- Inventory, order pulling, or warehouse experience strongly preferred
- Must be able to accurately read a tape measure
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Takes responsibility for assigned work and actions
- Takes pride in producing quality work
- Ability to follow directions and complete tasks independently
- Strong attention to safety and quality
- Dependable attendance and punctuality required
- Ability to work effectively with supervisors and team members
