Forklift Operator

We are seeking a Forklift Operator for a distribution environment in La Porte, TX. This is an on-site temporary position with an opportunity for permanent employment based on client needs and performance. The role follows a 12-hour Pitman schedule, with shifts running from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Training is completed Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM during the initial training period. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting and will be comfortable working in a safety-focused environment. This position requires attention to detail, teamwork, manual dexterity, and a commitment to warehouse safety compliance while handling inventory accurately and efficiently.

Benefits

• Hourly pay range of $18.50 to $20.00, paid according to the stated assignment terms.

• Temporary contract with an opportunity for permanent placement by the client.

• OSHA Forklift Certificate is preferred, and OSHA course training is offered if not already certified.

What You Will Do?

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to support daily distribution and warehouse operations.

• Handle inventory carefully while maintaining accuracy during movement, storage, and retrieval tasks.

• Follow warehouse safety compliance procedures to help maintain a safe work environment at all times.

• Work scheduled 12-hour shifts on a Pitman rotation, including day or night assignments.

• Complete training during the Monday through Friday schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

• Communicate effectively with team members to support smooth workflow and operational coordination.

Your Skills

• You have forklift operation experience and can work confidently in a distribution or warehouse setting.

• You understand warehouse safety compliance and apply safety procedures consistently during daily tasks.

• You have strong attention to detail when handling inventory and performing movement-related duties.

• You work well as part of a team and contribute to coordinated warehouse operations.

• You have manual dexterity and can manage the physical demands of forklift-related work.
