Forklift Operator

Location: Prince George, VA
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Sunday – Thursday | 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM (or until work is completed)

Position Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team at a fast-paced food distribution warehouse in Prince George, VA. This position is responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, stage, and organize products throughout the warehouse while supporting daily shipping, receiving, and inventory operations.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining safe and accurate warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a forklift to move, stage, load, and unload products throughout the warehouse.
  • Transport inventory and materials while maintaining accuracy and productivity standards.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trailers while ensuring products are handled properly.
  • Stage products for shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment.
  • Move pallets and inventory to designated warehouse locations.
  • Perform daily forklift inspections and report any equipment issues or safety concerns.
  • Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and product organization.
  • Use RF scanners or warehouse systems to accurately track inventory movement when required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse guidelines.
  • Work safely in refrigerated cooler and freezer environments while handling food products.
  • Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing facility, or food production environment.
  • Experience with loading, unloading, material handling, and pallet movement preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
  • Comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environments for extended periods.
  • Experience using RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull products throughout the shift.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
