Forklift Operator

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate loading, unloading, and movement of products within the distribution centre. Interview process: phone interview first, followed by a possible equipment demo.

• Load and off-load inbound and outbound shipments using the WMS
• Report discrepancies between inventory counts and shipping/receiving documents
• Load/off-load pallets in a manner that promotes safety and prevents damage
• Locate and retrieve products; replenish picking locations
• Transport palletized product within the distribution centre (unload, put away double deep, bulk and full pallet pick, load, replenishment)
• Operate material handling equipment, including high reach, counterbalance, electric pallet jack, and dock stocker
• Use RF scanner and WMS to ensure inventory accuracy and track products throughout the site
• Ensure product integrity while performing all tasks
• Follow site safety procedures, including required PPE (safety vest, safety shoes)
• Cross-train and become knowledgeable in other warehouse positions; provide backup support as needed

• 2+ years of experience in slipsheet operation (must-have)
• Experience with multiple types of MHE - order pickers, reach trucks, and counterbalance
• Intermediate experience with either high reach or counterbalance forklift required
• 1 year of relevant experience required in lieu of High School Diploma/GED
• Experience with Manhattan WMS - preferred

• Reading and interpreting distribution documents in English
• Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills
• General distribution knowledge
