We are seeking an experienced and dependable Forklift Operator to support weekend warehouse and production operations. This role requires hands-on experience operating heavy-capacity forklifts and safely moving materials weighing approximately 16,000-32,000 pounds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy material handling, loading/unloading, and maneuvering large or oversized materials in an industrial or warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate heavy-capacity forklifts and yard equipment to move, load, unload, and stage materials weighing 16,000-32,000 pounds.
- Maneuver large, heavy, and oversized materials throughout the yard, warehouse, and production areas.
- Perform yard jockey duties, including positioning trailers, organizing materials, and moving inventory as needed.
- Assist with receiving, shipping, and staging materials while ensuring proper handling and placement.
- Conduct equipment inspections and follow all safety procedures when operating heavy machinery.
- Maintain an organized work environment and communicate with warehouse and production personnel to support daily operations.
Requirements:
- Must have previous experience operating heavy-capacity forklifts and moving materials weighing 16,000-32,000 pounds is required.
- Must have experience handling oversized, heavy industrial materials in a manufacturing, warehouse, or yard environment.
- Must have strong understanding of forklift safety, load capacity, weight distribution, and proper material-handling procedures.
- Must have ability to work independently and safely in a fast-paced industrial environment.
