Job Title: Forklift Sit down / Stand-Up

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials and products within our warehouse and production areas. You will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy while ensuring all materials are handled safely and in compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Material Receiving and Inspection:

• Receive and inspect incoming materials and products for damage or discrepancies.
• Verify quantities and specifications against purchase orders or packing slips and report any issues to supervisors.

Storage and Organization:

• Properly store materials and products in designated areas to optimize space utilization.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure materials are labeled and organized.

Material Handling:

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to safely and efficiently move materials and products.
• Prepare and load materials for shipment or distribution, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Inventory Management:

• Conduct regular inventory checks and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Update inventory management systems with accurate data regarding material movements and stock levels.
• Assist in managing inventory replenishment and reorder levels.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Complete and maintain documentation for receiving, storage, and distribution activities.
• Prepare reports on inventory levels, material usage, and other relevant metrics as needed.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in material handling is a plus.
• Previous experience in a material handling or warehouse role is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Basic understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse operations.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to material handling.
