Founding Engineer – ERP & MES for Advanced Manufacturing

Have you built a complex relational system from scratch? Build the operating system of a factory, from raw material to finished part.

A seed-stage advanced-materials company in Los Angeles industrializes high-performance materials with AI, robotics and its own manufacturing. As a founding software engineer, you'd build its operating system from scratch: an ERP plus MES, CAD automation and simulation, and real-time factory telemetry in a digital twin. You'd work with full autonomy next to strong hardware engineers, with no PM, QA or design layer in between.

They're hiring 3 founding engineers.

What you'll own

• The ERP and MES, from data model to the screens people use on the floor
• CAD automation and simulation tooling
• Real-time factory telemetry and a digital twin

Must-haves

• You've built a complex relational system from scratch (ERP, MES, logistics or similar), not configured or extended an existing tool
• 2+ years shipping production software at scale (roughly 2–8): TypeScript on the front end, Python or Go on the back end
• A standout achievement you can point to
• In person in Los Angeles, and you want to be on the factory floor

Bonus points

• An ambitious personal project you kept grinding on
• Physical-world exposure: robotics, aerospace or rockets
• Model post-training or high-bandwidth telemetry

What's in it for you

• $140k–$200k base + 0.1–1% equity
• A founding seat building software that runs a real factory

Good to know

• Full-time, in person in Los Angeles
• Sponsorship is limited: please tell us your exact work authorization up front
• Process: founder call CTO call take-home of up to four hours (build from scratch and explain why) in person with the team offer

When you apply, please include

• Your CV (PDF), your LinkedIn URL, and GitHub if you have one
• The relational system you built: tables, flows, users and scale
• Your single most impressive accomplishment
• Your current location, and confirmation that in person in Los Angeles works for you
• Your visa or citizenship status, and if you'll need sponsorship
• Your base salary expectation, your notice period, and any other interview processes you're in
