Founding Engineer

About the Role

Join a small engineering team at a profitable, bootstrapped fintech platform focused on live event ticket trading. As the first engineering hire, you will build core systems where improvements to pricing and operations can have a direct business impact.

What You'll Do

• Build and own the pricing engine, bidding system, and data infrastructure for real-time ticket trading.
• Turn interactive model research into continuously running AI research pipelines.
• Develop A/B testing frameworks for pricing and improve bidding system throughput.
• Create AI-powered tools for operational triage, production incident response, and model drift detection.

What We're Looking For

• Three to ten years of post-graduate software engineering experience, with a record of strong performance and career growth.
• Experience building and operating platform or data-intensive production systems, ideally using Python.
• Strong adoption of agentic AI workflows and familiarity with AI/ML, data pipelines, real-time systems, and classical machine learning.
• Good data intuition, including the ability to use evidence to inform pricing or product decisions.
• Sound engineering judgment, comfort challenging decisions, and experience taking professional risks and learning from setbacks.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and an interest in live events such as concerts or sports.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary is $200,000 to $400,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
