We are looking for someone who can provide day-to-day technical foundry operations support by leveraging processes expertise, implementing tooling development, and continuous improvements to operational safety, quality, efficiency, and cost management.
JOB DUTIES:
- The role will be a Manufacturing Engineering Manager for Mapleton Cast Metals Organization.
- Leadership over manufacturing engineering team responsible for tooling and/or cylinder liner casting and machining. Team consists of six direct reports including manufacturing engineers and production non-traditional roles
- Accountable for value stream goals & alignment with operations on people, quality, velocity and cost targets for full value stream foundry and machine shop
- Responsible for actively recruiting and continuing to build a strong performing team
- Continuous improvement project leadership
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires analytical ability as well as excellent oral and written communications skills
- This position requires a 4-year college degree in an appropriate engineering or technical discipline with 5 years of progressive manufacturing experience, OR equivalent 10 years of progressive manufacturing experience in lieu of degree
- Direct leadership, project leadership, or team lead experience required
- Foundry or machining process experience required
