If you're passionate about science, creativity, and hands-on lab work, this is your chance to work at the intersection of chemistry and creativity. As a Fragrance Lab Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting product development by compounding fragrance samples, assisting perfumers, and helping bring innovative scent ideas to life.

What You'll Do

• Compound fragrance samples from formulas to support R&D and product development
• Fulfill sample requests and back-orders with speed and accuracy
• Partner with perfumers and the applications team to support new product creation
• Conduct basic quality control testing and maintain accurate documentation
• Help manage lab inventory, including ordering and stocking raw materials
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment
• Safeguard fragrance formulas and ensure confidentiality of documentation
• Assist with cross-functional lab activities and projects as needed

What You Bring

• 1+ year of hands-on lab or compounding experience (fragrance, flavors, or related preferred)
• Experience with weighing, measuring, and mixing materials accurately
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow formulas and SOPs
• Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and requests
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
• Interest in fragrance, sensory science, or product development

Nice to Have

• Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or related field
• Experience in R&D, product development, or applications labs
• Background in flavors/fragrance, food science, or cosmetic formulations
• Curiosity and passion for how products are developed and experienced

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheeling, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
