We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Working Apprentice, Journeyman Carpenters, and Skilled Carpenters with a strong background in residential framing and finish carpentry. This is a steady, full-time position offering year-round work, growth opportunities, and the chance to work on high-quality custom residential projects.

Position Summary
The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, safety-conscious, and takes pride in producing high-quality craftsmanship. Candidates should be comfortable working independently or as part of a crew on custom residential construction projects.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 14 years of residential construction experience depending on position level
- Experience in residential framing and/or finish carpentry preferred
- Must have basic carpentry tools as outlined by S.R. Freeman, Inc.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Basic blueprint reading skills required
- Valid California Drivers License with insurable driving record
- Must be physically capable of:
- Lifting up to 100 pounds
- Handling and moving lumber and building materials
- Working from ladders, scaffolding, and heights above 20 feet
- Working on elevated framing members
- Must have good eyesight and depth perception
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, including following verbal and written instructions
Responsibilities
- Complete work assignments directed by the Carpenter Foreman
- Maintain and properly use hand tools and equipment
- Perform job site setup, cleanup, and material handling
- Cut and install framing materials
- Construct floor, wall, and roof systems for custom residential projects
- Build and sheet interior and exterior walls
- Assist with:
- Concrete forms and foundations
- Layout and framing of walls
- Door and window framing
- Floor joist and ceiling joist installation
- Roof framing
- Stair construction
- Operate tools including:
- Skilsaw
- Sawzall
- Levels and layout tools
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Maintain professional working relationships with coworkers and supervisors
- Perform additional duties as assigned
