Freelance Bengali–English Interpreter

We are looking for a skilled freelance Bengali–English interpreter to facilitate clear communication in community-level settings throughout the Hammonton, NJ area.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate accurate, complete, and impartial communication between Bengali-speaking individuals, their families, and English-speaking service providers.

• Demonstrate professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and respect for confidentiality.

• Report to scheduled assignments on time, prepared, and dressed appropriately for the setting.

• Maintain professional boundaries and follow all applicable organizational policies and confidentiality requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Professional fluency in both Bengali and English.

• Previous experience providing interpretation in community-based settings.

• Ability to interpret accurately during sensitive conversations and challenging situations.

• Reliable transportation and availability to accept assignments throughout the Hammonton, NJ area.
