Freight Shipping Associate

Job Store Staffing is seeking a Freight Shipping Associate to join a local company's warehouse team. This role focuses on preparing large and heavy products for shipment, including palletizing orders, securing products for transport, and preparing freight shipments for pickup. The ideal candidate has previous shipping experience and is comfortable handling heavy materials in a fast-paced environment.

This position is with a family-owned company that has proudly served customers for over 40 years, specializing in custom window screens, screen doors, and screen systems. We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in safe and accurate shipping practices. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity for the right candidate.

Hours & Pay

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
• Pay: $23–$25/hour

What You'll Be Doing

• Prepare large and heavy products for freight shipment
• Palletize, wrap, and secure products for safe transportation
• Pick customer orders and prepare products for shipment
• Build custom shipping boxes and prepare packaging materials as needed
• Assist with LTL and FTL freight shipments and follow carrier requirements
• Verify orders and shipping details for accuracy
• Use hand and power tools to assist with packaging and shipping preparation
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse
• Assist with additional warehouse duties as needed

What We're Looking For

• Previous shipping experience, preferably handling freight and heavy products
• Experience palletizing and preparing freight shipments
• Familiarity with LTL and FTL shipping procedures preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfortable using hand and power tools safely
• Sit-down forklift experience is a plus, but not required
• Ability to lift 50–60 lbs. and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work efficiently as part of a team
