This individual welcomes patients, answers telephones calls in a knowledgeable and professional manor and manages the priorities in this fast paced, growing ENT practice.
Candidate Expectations for Front Desk Representative:
- Welcome and greet patients and visitors
- Answer a large volume of calls daily
- Schedule Appointments
- Assist patients with understanding their insurance benefits
- Enter and maintain accurate records in the electronic health record system.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care and billing processes.
- Support the department with any additional tasks as needed.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, deposits and post payments.
- Attention to detail and organization abilities. Problem solve.
- Dependable, punctual attendance
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Capable of working in a fast paced, high pressure, high volume work space
- Able to sit for long periods of time
Experience/Qualification:
- High school diploma or equivalent; advanced education in healthcare administration preferred.
- Minimum of 1 years experience in medical background
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered demeanor.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software. (Eclincial Works preferred)
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
