Job Description for Front Office Manager/ Lead Welcome Desk Enthusiast.

POSITION TITLE: FRONT OFFICE MANAGER 
REPORTS TO: Director of Rooms

Position Summary

Supervise all Front Office operations, including Front Desk, Guest Services, Reservations, and PBX, to ensure exceptional guest service, efficient operations, and compliance with hotel policies. Lead and develop the front office team while maximizing revenue, maintaining brand standards, and preparing departmental reports, budgets, and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, schedule, coach, and evaluate Front Office staff.
  • Ensure excellent guest service and resolve guest concerns promptly.
  • Oversee daily Front Office operations, room status, reservations, and communications.
  • Monitor cash handling, credit policies, deposits, and key control.
  • Review occupancy, revenue, forecasts, reports, and daily audits to maximize room revenue.
  • Coordinate group arrivals, VIP guests, and special requests.
  • Maintain front office supplies, records, and required documentation.
  • Conduct team meetings and ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.
  • Operate and monitor Front Office systems and reporting functions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 75% of the shift).
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

Education: Associate degree or equivalent preferred. Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Experience: Minimum three years of hotel Front Office supervisory experience with cash handling, administrative, and accounting responsibilities. Hilton brand experience preferred.
