Full-Time Airport Shuttle Driver

Position Title: Airport Shuttle Driver

Reports To: General Manager / Front Desk
Work Location: Red Roof PLUS+ Airport Hotel

Position Summary

The Airport Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely and courteously transporting hotel guests between Red Roof PLUS+ and the airport. The driver provides excellent customer service, maintains a clean and safe shuttle vehicle, follows scheduled pickup and drop-off times, and assists guests with luggage as needed.

The ideal candidate is dependable, punctual, professional, safety-conscious, and committed to providing a positive guest experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Guest Transportation and Customer Service

• Transport hotel guests to and from the airport according to the hotel's shuttle schedule and procedures.
• Greet guests in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
• Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage when needed.
• Communicate clearly with guests regarding pickup locations, shuttle schedules, and estimated arrival times.
• Respond to guest questions courteously and refer hotel-related concerns to the front desk.
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.

Vehicle Safety and Maintenance

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the shuttle vehicle.
• Keep the shuttle clean, organized, and presentable inside and outside.
• Report mechanical problems, damage, warning lights, or maintenance needs to management immediately.
• Follow all traffic laws, airport regulations, hotel policies, and safe driving practices.
• Never operate the shuttle while impaired, fatigued, or otherwise unable to drive safely.

Daily Operations and Communication

• Arrive on time and be ready to begin the assigned shift.
• Follow the approved shuttle schedule and communicate delays to the front desk or manager promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of shuttle trips, mileage, fuel, inspections, and incidents as required.
• Coordinate with the front desk regarding guest requests, airport pickups, and transportation needs.
• Follow established procedures for lost and found items and report any items left in the vehicle.
• Protect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality regarding guest information.

Full-Time Schedule and Attendance

• Work a full-time schedule as assigned by management.
• Be available for assigned shifts, which may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Notify the manager as soon as possible if an emergency or unexpected absence occurs.
• Follow all timekeeping, break, and attendance policies.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bilingual: Must be able to communicate in English and Spanish with hotel guests and team members.
• Valid Driver’s License: Must maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Flexible Schedule: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and other shifts as needed by hotel operations.
• Reliable and Punctual: Must arrive on time, maintain dependable attendance, and be ready to begin work as scheduled.
• Customer Service: Must be friendly, professional, respectful, and helpful to all guests.
• Safe Driving: Must follow all traffic laws, airport transportation rules, and hotel safety procedures.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to assist guests with luggage and perform the essential physical duties of the job, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Must keep the shuttle clean and report mechanical issues, damage, or safety concerns immediately.
