About the Role:L R Smiles of Marietta is looking for a passionate and skilled Full Time Dental Assistant to join our growing team in Marietta, GA! This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a patient-focused dental practice where your skills and dedication will make a real difference in people's smiles every day.
Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures including fillings, extractions, crown preparation, Ceric crowns scanning, and implants
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms between patients
- Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist
- Record patient medical histories and treatment notes in dental software
- Educate patients on post-procedure care and proper oral hygiene techniques
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering as needed
- Provide a welcoming, calm experience for patients throughout their visit
Requirements:- Prior dental assisting experience required
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and chairside assisting techniques
- Dental Assistant certification or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential a plus
- Radiology certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Familiarity with dental practice management software (Open Dental) a plus not required
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
- Ability to work full time in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
