Position Overview:
The OR Circulator RN will be responsible for managing the nursing care of patients during surgery, ensuring patient safety, and assisting the surgical team by maintaining a sterile and organized environment.
Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with surgical team members and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care
• Prepare the operating room with appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures
• Maintain aseptic and sterile techniques
• Document all nursing activities accurately in patient records
• Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and postoperative care
• Adhere to hospital protocols, safety regulations, and infection control policies

Education and Certification Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – New Mexico or Compact State License
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification preferred
• CNOR (Certified Perioperative Nurse) Certification preferred
• 1+ year of recent OR Circulating experience required
