PARAPROFESSIONAL-

Full time Paraprofessional that is able to rotate 3-4 group homes (Jackson, Jonesboro, Conyers and Rockdale).  The CSI person will work 2 to 10 pm and able to work one weekend a month.  Documentation is must be turned in within 48 hours.  Must be able to work at-risk youh prefer 5 years of experience for High School, thee years for Bachelor and 1 year for Master and above.  Pay rate is $25 an hour.  This is a 40 hour a week position.  . 

Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, the Paraprofessional performs a variety of clinical and administrative work involving the delivery of mental health services to individuals in need of treatment and support. This position will work with a team of clinicians in the planning, implementation and performance of therapeutically oriented activities and programs for consumers receiving mental health and substance abuse treatment services. This position requires a fundamental knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment methods, as well as an understanding of the principles and techniques used in the treatment of mental health disorders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receives referrals of clients in need of mental health services, performs Case Coordination tasks and monitors client’s behavior in relation to treatment plan goals and client needs.
  • Maintains a caseload of individuals with personal social behavior problems including severe mental illness.
  • Conducts assessments of client needs, actively participates in the development of the consumer Individual Recovery/Resiliency Plan (IRP), and makes appropriate documentation in the clinical record.
  • Provides Case Management and Mental Health Support Services to clients individually and /or to their families.
  • Provides Mediation; Advocacy and coordinates services with various agencies in order to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participates in various staff meetings and in-services, and communicates with team members on observed behaviors and progress of consumers.
  • Provides Skills Building and Resource Enhancement information or education/assistance for clients and their families.
  • Assists with programmatic tasks related to the gathering of data for assessing clients’ needs and for the acquisition of QI Statistics.
  • Assists with the timely completion of reports and client related documentation.
