Full-Time Permanent Substitute Teacher

NCS Early Learning Village & Preschool

Nashville Christian School is seeking a dependable, flexible, and energetic Full-Time Permanent Substitute Teacher to support our Early Learning Village and Preschool classrooms.

This is a full-time, year-round position. The Permanent Substitute Teacher will provide classroom coverage based on daily staffing needs, including staff absences, scheduled time off, meetings, lunch breaks, and other coverage needs. Daily classroom assignments may vary, so flexibility is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide substitute coverage in Early Learning Village and Preschool classrooms

• Follow classroom schedules, routines, and lesson plans

• Assist with meals, snacks, rest time, transitions, and classroom activities

• Maintain active supervision and a safe, nurturing environment

• Follow all health, safety, and school policies and procedures

• Support children's physical, emotional, developmental, and spiritual needs

• Work cooperatively with teachers, staff, children, and families

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred

• Experience working with young children preferred

• Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented

• Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and remain active throughout the day

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday–Friday

• Scheduled within operating hours of 7:00 AM–6:00 PM

• Year-round position with scheduled holidays

• One-week break on July 4th and one-week break at Christmas

• Required attendance at staff in-service days
