What You Will Do

• Own and ship features across the full stack, contributing equally to backend and frontend systems.
• Build and maintain robust backend services and APIs using Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, and Python.
• Develop clean, functional frontend interfaces that connect directly to complex data flows and business logic.
• Collaborate closely with a small, high-velocity engineering team in a hands-on onsite environment.
• Iterate quickly in response to customer feedback and evolving product priorities.
• Make sound technical decisions with a high degree of autonomy, operating with limited process overhead.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience in a product-focused environment.
• True full-stack capability with a roughly 50/50 split between backend and frontend contributions, with a preference for backend-leaning candidates.
• Proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Python, with demonstrated ability to independently pass a full-stack coding assessment.
• Strong problem-solving instincts and comfort operating in environments with limited structure or process.
• Based in New York City and available to work onsite 6 days per week.

Preferred

• Experience on early-stage or startup product teams where you helped define processes.
• A backend-leaning full-stack background with strong opinions on API design and data flow architecture.
