We are seeking a Senior Functional QA Engineer with over 10 years of experience in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) domain, specializing in wealth management applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong functional testing expertise, hands-on automation experience using Playwright with JavaScript, advanced SQL skills for data validation, and a deep understanding of financial products and business workflows.

Must-Have Skills

• 10+ years of QA experience in the BFSI domain with a focus on Wealth Management products.
• Strong understanding of wealth management concepts, including:
  • Accounts, Holdings, Positions
  • Transactions and Balances
  • Statements
  • Fees, Performance, Valuations
  • Corporate Actions
• Hands-on experience with Playwright and JavaScript for test automation.
• Advanced SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and backend testing.
• Experience creating and executing:
  • Test Plans
  • Test Cases
  • Test Execution and Reviews
• Expertise in:
  • End-to-End System Testing
  • Functional Testing
  • Regression Testing
  • Mobile Testing
  • API Testing
  • Integration Testing
  • Sanity Testing
• Experience with Azure DevOps for defect tracking and test management.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to understand business rules, financial calculations, and complex data logic.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Domain-Driven Testing

• Develop a strong understanding of wealth management products and business processes.
• Validate business workflows involving accounts, positions, holdings, transactions, balances, statements, fees, valuations, performance, and corporate actions.
• Convert business requirements into comprehensive functional and data validation test scenarios.

Data Validation & Reconciliation

• Design and execute data validation strategies for financial transactions and balances.
• Perform backend data validation using advanced SQL.
• Reconcile data across multiple systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Validate financial calculations and business rules.

Functional & Automation Testing

• Develop, maintain, and execute automation scripts using Playwright with JavaScript.
• Perform manual and automated testing across web and mobile applications.
• Execute regression, integration, API, functional, sanity, and end-to-end testing.
• Create and maintain reusable automation frameworks and test assets.

Defect Management & Collaboration

• Work closely with business analysts, product owners, and development teams to clarify requirements.
• Investigate and analyze data discrepancies from both business and technical perspectives.
• Document defects with detailed business impact, supporting evidence, and root cause analysis.
• Track testing progress and defects using Azure DevOps.

• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
