Title – Functional Test Lead (AMTrust / Banking Domain)
Location – Cincinnati, OH ( 5 days onsite)
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end functional testing activities for AMTrust or similar banking/financial applications.
Review and validate business requirements, functional specifications, and process workflows; ensure complete test coverage through well-structured test strategies and test plans.
Guide the team in designing comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and traceability matrices aligned with project requirements.
Oversee execution of functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing across banking modules such as loans, claims, payments, policy administration, or financial servicing.
Manage defect triage, ensuring timely identification, prioritization, root-cause analysis, and resolution in collaboration with development, BA, and environment teams.
Drive test governance—status reporting, metrics, dashboards, and adherence to quality standards.
Conduct impact assessments for enhancements, system changes, and production fixes.
Validate end-to-end data flows, financial calculations, and reporting outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Coordinate with onshore/offshore teams for requirement clarification, planning, and delivery alignment.
Ensure readiness for releases by leading test sign-off, environment shakeouts, and deployment validations.
Team Leadership & Coordination
Mentor and guide functional testers, ensuring adherence to best practices.
Allocate tasks, review test assets, and monitor progress to ensure on-time delivery.
Facilitate daily stand-ups, defect calls, and client review meetings as needed.
Required Skills
Strong functional testing leadership experience in AMTrust or comparable banking/financial systems.
Deep understanding of banking workflows, risk functions, compliance requirements, and financial transactions.
Proficiency in test planning, estimation, strategy creation, and stakeholder management.
Hands-on experience with SQL for backend data validation.
Expertise in test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM, qTest).
Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and ability to manage cross-functional collaboration.
Nice-to-Have
Familiarity with API testing or automation frameworks.
Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery.
Exposure to release management or environment coordination.
