The Data Strategy Analyst for Institutional Fundraising supports pipeline development for the Institutional Fundraising team through program reporting and analysis. Additionally, this role will assist with compiling and ensuring the accuracy of audience segmentation data for solicitations and stewardship efforts.

This role reports to the Associate Director of Data Strategy and Operations, and will collaborate with teams across University Advancement. The incumbent will play a critical role in analyzing the university's annual giving pool and pipeline, engaging in data analytics initiatives that generate actionable insights to maximize annual giving revenue and volume of donors. A successful data analyst is a key partner in moving donors through the giving continuum from acquisition to major or planned gift discussions.

This role will assist in preparing for direct appeal and stewardship campaigns that are undertaken by partners across the University of Utah. This requires having a comprehensive understanding of our data, with an ability to understand requests from marketing partners. As such, this role will translate general data needs into targeted requests to the Information Services team, before technically preparing the data for final use. Accuracy and an attention to detail are a must.

Please note, the posted salary range reflects the compensation range within which we will make an offer. Offers are determined based on qualifications, skills, and experience. Placement at the top of the range is reserved for candidates who demonstrate exceptional qualifications and experience directly aligned with the role.
