Position Overview

Fund Placement Analysts support capital raising and investor coverage efforts by assisting senior placement professionals with fundraising strategy, investor outreach, due diligence processes, and marketing execution. The role blends financial analysis, client-facing support, and project management in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment.

These roles often involve close collaboration with managing directors, investor relations teams, investment professionals, and institutional allocators.


Key Responsibilities

Support fundraising efforts for private investment funds across asset classes (e.g., private equity, private credit, real assets, hedge funds)
Assist in preparing marketing materials, pitch decks, private placement memoranda, and data rooms
Conduct investor research and maintain databases of institutional investors, family offices, and consultants
Analyze fund performance, track records, and portfolio metrics for investor presentations
Coordinate investor due diligence processes, meetings, and follow-ups
Track fundraising pipelines, investor communications, and engagement activity
Assist with responses to investor inquiries, RFPs, and DDQs
Prepare internal reports on fundraising progress, market trends, and investor feedback
Monitor market and allocator trends relevant to fundraising strategy


Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field
Strong interest in private markets, fundraising, and institutional investing
Understanding of investment fund structures and performance metrics
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with CRM systems is a plus
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and tight deadlines
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Comfort working in client-facing, relationship-oriented environments
