Supervise, plan, and schedule resources, prepare daily schedule, and oversee the activities and resources supporting various services. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare the daily Services Schedule and assign staff, lunches, and breaks. Oversee assignments ensuring services are adequately staffed and begin as scheduled. Working in a dynamic environment, make assignment revisions as business needs dictate. Resolve appointment, services, and schedule conflicts communicating staff assignment revisions. Review and approve requests for time off, ensuring appropriate coverage to meet business needs.
- Create tools that enhance services.
- Develop and maintain processes, procedures, and job aids to increase efficiencies. Recommend process improvements and implement approved changes.
- Train new hires on processes, procedures, and behaviors. Observe staff conducting responsibilities; provide constructive behavior guidance and process feedback. Escalate continuing issues to manager.
- Build a high performing team. Interview, hire, and train associates. Plan, delegate, and assign workload and deadlines. Assess performance, coach, and address skill development. Recommend wage increases and job changes.
MINIMUM Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
- At least five (5) years industry operational or administrative experience supporting Funeral Services
- Leadership experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to adapt workload and priorities for self and staff in a dynamic environment
- Proficient in MS Office and databases
- Organized
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
