Tesla is seeking energetic and highly motivated Furnace Technicians to join our Die Shop team. The Furnace Technician position is critical to ensuring the reliability and success of Tesla's manufacturing operations. You will bring knowledge and experience with a strong drive to learn new skills as we develop new materials and processes, allowing you to grow and succeed both in this role and your personal career at Tesla.
- Operate Vacuum Heat Treat, Stress Relief, and Gas Nitriding furnaces
- Maintain production plan and output flow thru the Die shop furnaces
- Diagnos equipment failures, collect data to identify root causes and develop sustainable solutions
- Working with management and engineering, follow the production schedule, using established processes and procedures
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- 5+ years' experience operating Heat Treat Furnaces working with Tool Steels
- 3 years minimum working with Nitriding Furnaces
- Experience working to a production schedule responsible for furnace output
- Outstanding root causing and problem-solving skills
- Experience creating & maintaining a positive atmosphere in a collaborative work team
- Experience training new operators
- Detail oriented with excellent record keeping and organizational skills
