Job Description: Graduate Assistant in the Office of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs

• The Graduate Assistant position will assist the Enrollment Data Manager in the office of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs with ad-hoc data reporting and analyses requests.
• Responsible for extracting meaningful insights from disparate data sources that would support the division in determining and implementing strategies aimed at increasing and improving student access & success.
• Utilize data to create statistical models and actionable dashboards that depicts trends in the student information database as a whole.
• Identify and recommend ways to improve and streamline business processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel.
• Database experience in Oracle.
• Must be proficient in SQL.
• Must have experience in writing programs and using any Advanced Analytics and BI tools.
• Knowledge of Data Visualization techniques.
• Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
• Detail orientated and highly organized.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
• Enrolled in a graduate degree at East Texas A&M
• Ability to prioritize duties and adapt to changes.
• Work well with others, including students and staff.
• Ability to be self-managed, stay on task, and research solutions independently.
