On-site training will be provided before the event begins. Eligible parking and public transportation expenses will be reimbursed.

Responsibilities of the Game Assistants:
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of an interactive, puzzle-based event.
  • Set up and dismantle event materials, including fabric backdrops, pop-up stands, tablecloths, puzzles, and other supplies.
  • Help create a fun, engaging, and welcoming experience for event participants.
  • Assist participants throughout the puzzle experience by checking answers and providing rewards for correct responses.
  • Reset puzzles and game stations between participants to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Keep track of puzzle pieces, materials, rewards, and other small items throughout the event.
  • Follow provided instructions, diagrams, and guidelines to ensure puzzles are set up and managed correctly.
  • Interact with participants using gestures, nodding, facial expressions, and other nonverbal communication as part of the event's character experience.
  • Maintain an upbeat, playful, and professional demeanor throughout the event.
  • Assist with crowd engagement and ensure participants have a positive experience.
  • Follow directions from the Event Director and assist with additional event-related tasks as needed.
  • Help maintain an organized, clean, and safe event environment.
  • Participate in on-site training before the event begins.
  • Assist with packing, organizing, and breaking down event materials at the conclusion of the activation.
Required Experience/Skills for the Game Assistants:
  • Must be available to work BOTH November 6 and November 7, 2026.
  • Friendly, playful, outgoing, and enthusiastic personality.
  • Comfortable interacting with large groups of people in a busy event environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to keep track of small game pieces and materials.
  • Quick learner with the ability to follow instructions and adapt to new tasks.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
  • Comfortable participating in a largely non-speaking, character-based role.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through gestures, facial expressions, and other nonverbal cues.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to reset and maintain activity stations.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to assist wherever needed.
  • Comfortable standing, moving around, and remaining active throughout event shifts.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to approximately 22 lbs. (10 kg).
  • Professional appearance and ability to adhere to a business casual dress code.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Game Assistants:
  • Previous experience working at events, trade shows, conventions, or experiential activations.
  • Background in theater, acting, performance, or entertainment.
  • Experience working in escape rooms, interactive games, or puzzle-based environments.
  • Experience in hospitality, customer service, or guest-facing positions.
  • Background working with schools, camps, recreational programs, or group activities.
  • Interest in puzzles, games, problem-solving, or immersive entertainment experiences.
  • Comfortable taking direction and remaining in character during interactive activities.
  • Experience assisting with event setup, breakdown, or general event operations.
Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Relevant event, performance, hospitality, or customer service experience will be strongly considered.
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly pay of $22 hourly.
  • Reimbursement for eligible parking or public transportation expenses.
  • Onsite training provided.
  • Opportunity to participate in a unique, interactive gaming event.
  • Fun, energetic, and collaborative event environment.
