Lead Creative Projects. Develop Talent. Bring Designs to Life.

Are you an experienced graphic design professional who enjoys leading teams, managing creative projects, and turning ideas into production-ready artwork?

We're looking for a Game Development Supervisor who can bring together creativity, technical expertise, and strong organizational skills to keep our Game Development operations running smoothly.

This position offers the opportunity to oversee a fast-paced creative production environment where you'll coordinate custom artwork, manage project priorities, guide employees, and ensure designs meet customer expectations and commercial printing requirements.

You'll work closely with Creative Services, Sales, Pre-Press, Press, and Production to move projects from initial concept through final approval while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and quality.

If you're ready to take your graphic design and production experience to the next level while helping lead a creative team, this could be the opportunity for you!

What You'll Do

As a Game Development Supervisor, you'll oversee daily workflow, coordinate design projects, and provide hands-on technical guidance and leadership to employees responsible for game planning, proofreading, and production artwork.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead daily Game Development operations, assigning projects, establishing priorities, and coordinating employee workloads to meet customer and production deadlines.
  • Manage custom artwork projects from concept through production, ensuring designs are completed accurately, efficiently, and according to customer specifications.
  • Create and maintain Job Design DIFs, monitor project schedules, and update workflow priorities based on production needs.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Creative Artists to interpret customer requests, communicate design requirements, and ensure artwork meets customer expectations.
  • Review and approve final artwork in collaboration with Sales, Pre-Press, and Press leadership to ensure accuracy, consistency, printability, and production readiness.
  • Identify opportunities to develop new design tools, templates, and processes that improve efficiency and support production requirements.
  • Coordinate game development activities across various software applications, databases, and departmental workflows.
  • Supervise, coach, and support employees in Game Planning and Proofreading, providing technical guidance, training, feedback, and performance support.
  • Monitor project progress, adjust employee assignments, and resolve workflow challenges to maintain production schedules.
  • Partner with the Creative Director on process improvements, file organization, workflow efficiency, and departmental initiatives.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve departmental procedures, work instructions, reference materials, and documentation.
  • Maintain organized project files, accurate records, and effective version control throughout the design process.
  • Monitor departmental supplies and coordinate routine purchasing to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Provide departmental coverage and support for the Creative Director when needed.
  • Other duties as required.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines strong graphic design and print production knowledge with leadership abilities, attention to detail, and a talent for keeping creative projects organized and moving forward.

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Graphic Arts, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in graphic design, production art, prepress, or a related field.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of graphic design principles, production artwork, and creative workflow management.
  • Knowledge of commercial printing requirements, including trapping, file preparation, templates, color, layout, and printability.
  • Experience managing multiple design projects, balancing competing priorities, and meeting tight production deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail when reviewing artwork, proofs, specifications, and production files.
  • Ability to lead, coach, train, and support employees while maintaining accountability for quality, productivity, and deadlines.
  • Advanced organizational skills, including maintaining file structures, database records, project documentation, and version control.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with the confidence to identify workflow challenges and implement practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with Sales, Creative Services, Technical Art, Proofreading, Game Development, Press, and Production.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn and work across multiple software applications and database systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse, team-oriented environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide documentation establishing identity and employment eligibility as required by federal law.
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Therefore, our company enforces a zero-tolerance policy regarding substance abuse and criminal activity. All job offers are contingent upon passing a rigorous background check and drug screen.
