Responsibilities & Requirements

The Gardener I maintains the safety, cleanliness, and appearance of outdoor areas across Kettering Health facilities, supporting a welcoming and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role performs a variety of grounds maintenance tasks, including lawn care, landscaping, seasonal snow and ice removal, and equipment upkeep, in accordance with safety and regulatory standards. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health''s mission, vision, values, and B Safe program. High school diploma or equivalent. No specific experience required; on-the-job training provided Valid driver''s license Commercial Driver''s License (CDL) may be required if operating regulated motor equipment, in accordance with Ohio state law

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance in a healthcare or institutional setting Pesticide Applicator''s License (Ohio) if performing chemical applications
