Power up your career with a renewable energy operation in Northwestern Indiana, where you’ll help turn dairy manure and food waste into renewable natural gas and electricity. This Gas Operations Technician opportunity puts your mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills to work in a modern, 24/7 industrial environment.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Gas Operations Technician position include:
- Experience in oil and gas operations, natural gas processing, pipeline operations, power generation, industrial utilities, chemical processing, process manufacturing, renewable energy, or industrial maintenance.
- Operate biogas processing equipment safely and efficiently, including monitoring RNG and power generation plant systems.
- Monitor SCADA systems and adjust plant operation to maximize production and minimize downtime.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on blowers, gas pretreatment, chillers, compressors, pumps, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues using SCADA and manuals; respond to alarms, callouts, and assist during outages.
- Maintain detailed records on production data, equipment operational hours, service schedules, and equipment outages.
- Perform daily checks including flow meters, gas chromatographs, fluid levels, and pressure/temperature readings.
- Keep the plant clean and organized; maintain parts inventory and respond to callouts in a timely manner.
Salary: $24-$28 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: Full-time benefits after 90 days include Health, Dental, Vision, Accident, Critical Illness, Life, Disability, and 401k; PTO is provided upon hire in accordance with the company’s PTO policy.
