We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Gastroenterologist to diagnose, treat, and manage patients with disorders affecting the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and related digestive systems. The Gastroenterologist will provide comprehensive patient care, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Evaluate patients with gastrointestinal symptoms and digestive system disorders.
Diagnose and manage conditions affecting the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and biliary system.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and diagnostic results.
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including:
Upper GI endoscopy (EGD)
Colonoscopy
Polypectomy and biopsy
Flexible sigmoidoscopy
Other GI procedures within the physician's scope of practice
Diagnose and manage conditions such as:
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)
Crohn's disease
Ulcerative colitis
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
Peptic ulcer disease
Gastrointestinal bleeding
Liver diseases
Pancreatic and biliary disorders
Colorectal polyps and cancer
Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, pathology results, and other diagnostic investigations.
Provide colorectal cancer screening and preventive gastrointestinal care.
Prescribe medications and monitor patient response to treatment.
Provide inpatient consultations and outpatient follow-up care as required.
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, procedures, medications, diet, and lifestyle modifications.
Coordinate referrals and collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, primary care physicians, and other specialists.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR/EHR system.
Participate in on-call coverage when required.
Follow clinical protocols, infection-control practices, patient-safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency.
Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology fellowship.
Current and unrestricted medical license to practice in the applicable state.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
Current BLS certification; ACLS certification may be required.
Valid DEA registration when required for prescribing medications.
Clinical experience diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal disorders.
Experience performing EGD and colonoscopy procedures.
Strong knowledge of digestive diseases, hepatology, and GI-related conditions.
Experience managing both acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions.
Experience interpreting laboratory, imaging, endoscopic, and pathology findings.
Proficiency with EMR/EHR documentation.
2+ years of experience practicing as a Gastroenterologist.
Experience in hospital, outpatient, ambulatory, or specialty GI settings.
Experience with advanced endoscopic procedures is preferred where applicable.
Experience managing complex liver, pancreatic, and inflammatory bowel diseases.
Strong communication, clinical judgment, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
