Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner

Novant Health Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Gastroenterology team serving the Hardeeville and Bluffton, South Carolina communities.

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

• Current or eligible South Carolina Nurse Practitioner licensure

• Current or eligible national board certification

• Current or eligible prescriptive authority

• BLS certification required

• Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Primary Care, or related clinical experience preferred

• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to high-quality patient care

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to work effectively within a physician and APP team environment

The Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with our Gastroenterologists and interdisciplinary care team to provide comprehensive care for patients with a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions.

Responsibilities may include:

• Evaluate and manage new and established Gastroenterology patients

• Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

• Manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions

• Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies

• Provide pre- and post-procedure follow-up as appropriate

• Provide medication management and patient education

• Coordinate care with Gastroenterologists, Primary Care providers, and other specialists

• Support timely access and continuity of care for patients throughout the market

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Participate in quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives

• Support continued growth and development of Gastroenterology services
