Gear Mechanic

Job Title: Gear Mechanic
Location: Washington, PA
Type: Direct Hire

Responsibilities

• Independently disassemble, inspect, repair, and rebuild motors, pumps, blowers, and gearboxes
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using AC/DC diagnostic methods
• Replace and rebuild components such as bearings, brushes, seals, leads, impellers, fans, brakes, and clutches
• Take precise measurements to determine correct replacement parts
• Safely operate diagnostic and repair equipment
• Maintain accurate, timely job records
• Support onboarding and skill development of less experienced technicians
• Uphold safety, quality, and shop organization standards
• Work across equipment types including AC/DC motors, blowers, submersible/split-case/close-coupled pumps, and gearboxes

Requirements

• High school diploma
• 2–5+ years of industrial electromechanical repair experience, or equivalent education/experience combination
