Duties
" Teach High School Equivalency Materials & Test Prep to frontline team members at a Tyson facility.
" Create and develop materials associated with the courses taught.
" Attend Upward Academy partner meetings, faculty meetings, and trainings to stay updated and enhance teaching skills.
" Participate in recruitment events and culminating activities to support the program and engage with the community.
Required Qualifications
" Knowledge of teaching strategies and methods: Including Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies
" Native-like fluency: Good command of written and spoken English.
" Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Essential for managing course materials and communication.
Preferred Qualifications
" Education and Experience:
o Bachelor's degree: In English, teaching, or a related field.
o 3 years teaching experience: In High School Equivalency for adult education.
" Special Skills:
o Strong classroom management skills: Organizational and planning skills, ability to give clear, concise directions and explanations.
o Proficiency in a second language: Enhances communication with students from diverse backgrounds.
o Cross-cultural sensitivity: Essential for understanding and addressing the needs of students from various cultural backgrounds.
o Excellent technology application skills and experience: To integrate technology effectively into teaching.
