GEN AI Engineer/Architect

Our client, an IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a GEN AI Engineer/Architect for their Charlotte, NC location.
 
Responsibilities:

• Architect role for an experienced professional with strong expertise in prompt designing, generative AI, data engineering, and cloud solutions on AWS using Terraform and Python. The role focuses on designing scalable solutions leveraging Amazon Bedrock and large language models, optimizing AI model performance, and enabling hybrid work model delivery for enterprise initiatives in a day shift setting.
• Design and architect end to end generative AI solutions that integrate large language models with enterprise data platforms to deliver high value business capabilities and measurable outcomes
• Develop and refine advanced prompt designing strategies that improve response relevance reliability and efficiency for diverse use cases across multiple domains
• Create scalable cloud architectures on AWS using Terraform to enable reproducible infrastructure provisioning secure deployments and robust system operations
• Drive data engineering workflows that ingest transform and store structured and unstructured data to support training evaluation and continuous improvement of AI models  Implement and manage solutions built on Amazon Bedrock to orchestrate foundation models ensure consistent performance and enable seamless integration with existing applications
• Establish AI model performance management frameworks that monitor accuracy latency fairness and robustness while defining clear metrics and feedback loops for optimization  Build and maintain Python based services pipelines and utilities that connect data sources models and application layers while ensuring high quality code and maintainability  Collaborate with stakeholders across product engineering and operations teams to translate complex business requirements into practical generative AI architectures and roadmaps
• Guide design decisions around data privacy security and compliance in AI solutions to protect sensitive information and uphold organizational and societal trust
• Optimize inference pipelines and resource utilization for large language models to balance performance costs and scalability in alignment with company objectives
• Document architectural patterns solution blueprints and operational runbooks to support knowledge sharing resilience and long term sustainability of AI platforms
• Evaluate emerging tools frameworks and patterns in generative AI and cloud data engineering to recommend improvements that strengthen competitive advantage and societal impact
• Mentor project teams in applying best practices for prompt engineering data quality management and model evaluation to enhance solution reliability and user satisfaction.

• Experience: 10 to 14 Yrs
• Required skills: Python, Terraform, AWS, Generative AI, Large Language Model (LLM), Prompt Designing, Amazon Bedrock, AI Model Performance Management Data Engineering
• Possess extensive experience in prompt designing and generative AI solution delivery using modern large language models applied to real world business challenges
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in AWS services and Terraform based infrastructure as code with a track record of deploying secure scalable and maintainable cloud environments
• Apply advanced data engineering skills including data modeling pipeline development and performance tuning to support training and serving of AI workloads
• Show practical expertise with Amazon Bedrock and AI model performance management including monitoring experimentation and continuous improvement of model behavior  Use solid Python programming capabilities to build integrations APIs and orchestration layers that reliably connect data systems AI models and user applications
• Bring experience in architect roles within complex enterprise or multinational environments using hybrid work models and collaborating effectively across distributed teams.
