GENERAL ASSISTANT (10-Month) ALL SCHOOLS

GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION Under the direction of the Principal, the General A ssistant supports the school by handling general du ties as assigned, including office work, cafeteria duty, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION

1. Performs routine tasks, for example, filing, answer ing phones, helping students with their meals, distributing mailers, making copies, etc.
2. Exercises good judgment in making decisions.
3. Maintains a confidential manner.
4. Reacts to change productively and performs other duties as assigned.
5. Interacts positively with students and all school and community stakeholders.
6. Maintains regular, on-time attendance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

1. A high school diploma
2. Good interpersonal communication skills
3. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions

SALARY The pay rate for a General Assistant for the 2026-2 027 school year is $15.00 per hour. General Assista nts will be assigned to five hours or fewer per day. Ho urs can only be assigned during the 180-day student calendar.
